§ 1420.99. General code penalty; equitable remedies.

(a)

In addition to the provisions of section 1420.04, regarding repair or removal of defective or unsafe building conditions, whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this building and housing code for which no penalty is otherwise provided, is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than $100.00 for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues.

(b)

The application of the penalty provided in division (a) of this section shall not be deemed to prevent the enforced removal of prohibited conditions, the abatement of any nuisance or the application of any other equitable remedy.
